About Us

SoccaGirl was inspired and created by Lexie in 2019 when she was just 9 years old. Although girls' & womens' football is one of the fastest growing sports in the world, the retail world is failing to keep up. Lexie was not impressed with having to  shop in the boys' section for an everyday football t-shirt, nor did she want to wear boys clothes. Lexie took to her scribble pad to design football clothing that she felt other girls like her would want to wear, along with a brand name and logo; SoccaGirl. Mum, Claire, brought Lexie's dream to a reality, creating some of the clothing that Lexie had designed.

 

The clothing aroused a lot of attention amongst fellow 'ballers' and parents, asking where they could get their hands on some of their own, and it was during lockdown that Lexie and Claire found the time to start making plans for an online shop, accessible to all. They've been working away in the background ever since, and finally in 2023, 14 year old Lexie is ready to share her dream with the world.

 

100% PROFITS BACK INTO GROWING GIRLS FOOTBALL

During a 'soft' launch in 2020 Lexie started to make profit on her brand. The team she had just signed for were in need of sponsorship for a new kit and Lexie asked if she could help through SoccaGirl. Noticing that more girls' teams struggled to raise funds for kit and equipment, Lexie continued to provide help through her brand. Between 2020 and 2023 Lexie donated just over £3000 to support girls' football.

As girls' football continues to grow, Lexie's wish is to donate 100% of her net profits to girls' teams and players across the country in need of support. They are currently working with the Hampshire Girls Youth Football League to fairly support teams in their local County, and hope to form bonds with other leagues to eventually do the same nationwide.
